Tailwheel Transition

Decathlon 8KCAB
Regardless of your level of experience, you will find the transition to tailwheel flying both challenging and rewarding. The FAA requires an instructor endorsement before soloing a tailwheel aircraft. Remember an endorsement doesn’t make you a taildragger pilot. Good training can make you a safe and confident taildragger pilot.

Our goal is to train you to be safe, confident and proficient at the skills it take to control a taildragger from the time it come out of the hanger until its back in the hanger.

Tailwheel transition

The average person masters the skill with 3-4 ground lessons and 5-6 hours of flight training.

This training will include:
• Inspection
• Taxiing
• Crosswinds
• Takeoffs
• Landings (Three Point & Wheels)
